The National Program for Energy Efficiency in Buildings was established in 2003 by ELETROBRAS and PROCEL, and works jointly with the Ministries of Mines and Energy, the Ministry of Cities, universities, research centers and entities in the areas of government, technological, economic and development, as well as civil construction, through 6 areas of expertise: Training, Technology, Dissemination, Regulation, Housing and Energy Efficiency and Planning.

What it means

PROCEL promotes the rational use of electric energy in buildings since its foundation, and with the creation of PROCEL EDIFICA, actions have been expanded and organized with the objective of encouraging the conservation and efficient use of natural resources (water, electricity, ventilation, etc.) in buildings, reducing waste and impacts on the environment.
